I will forever be grateful to the NEMA Scholars' Program for giving the chance to students like myself for developing research and writing skills through high quality publications so early on in our careers. Not only have I honed my skills through this program, I have also been lucky to have formed lasting relationships with the team. Everyone has been incredibly kind, informative, and patient throughout this process and I plan on continuing my writing experiences with this phenomenal group.

NEMA's Scholars Program provides healthcare students such as myself with the incredible opportunity to stand out amongst their peers. Not only have I acquired a publication at such an early point in my pharmacy career, but I have also gained amazing interprofessional relationships that I hope to keep as I pursue newer heights. My team was responsive, patient, and gave me the education needed to achieve the goals I set out for myself. The leaders of this program truly want students to succeed and I absolutely plan to work with them again in the near future!

Malachi Moody, The University of Miami

My time as a NEMA scholar has become formative for my medical career aspirations. I was able to research a topic that I hold dear to heart. During the program, I had the opportunity to meet some great peers and connect with people my age pursuing a career in the medical field. I also gained experience and a lifetime partnership with people on a quest for knowledge like myself. Furthermore, the NEMA Scholar Mentors of different academic and professional backgrounds guided me through the process of collecting data,  understanding data inference, and submitting an abstract. Lastly, as a NEMA Scholar in highschool, I gained the opportunity to submit an abstract for review before many Doctors with their Ph.D. submit their first publication. I strive towards gaining my Ph.D., and  I look forward to my continued collaboration with the NEMA Scholars program.

I am truly grateful for this program, as it has allowed me to work with great peers and others who are interested in the medical field. I have also been under the guidance and mentorship of doctors and experts in the field of medicine. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity NEMA Scholars has presented to me to submit an abstract for peer review. I have enjoyed working on a research question relatable to me, and I look forward to working with NEMA Scholars in the future.
